Envy the Aluminium Goodness
HP Envy x2
As a wandering road warrior, the one device you need to have is a notebook. However, in these day and age, you also need to have a tablet as a supplementary device. What if you do not want to have two devices in your bag? Why, you can get the new HP Envy X2, the new hybrid device from HP.
STYLISH FEEL
When I first took it out from the box, I was enamoured by the brushed aluminium design that HP used on the X2. The finish is also fingerprint- resistant, giving the X2 a big plus in my book. It uses an 11.6in panel for its display so you get a big screen without being too big in your bag. I like that. I also like the keyboard dock, which offers two USB ports, a charging dock, one HDMI port, headphone jack and the much-needed SD card reader. This is to supplement the microSD card reader that lives on the tablet side of the X2.
KEYBOARD WONDER
The one feature I love about the X2, apart from the fact that it splits into two and has a long battery life thanks to two batteries, is the keyboard. It has the right amount of finger travel experience without it being to mushy, and it is slim enough that the whole machine doesn’t feel like it is a behemoth when you try to shove it in into your briefcase. It also feels nice even for people with big hands, as there is not much need to for much finger cramping. Note: there will be times you’d miss a key press or two, but it’s minor at best.
